Discipleship

At Salem Baptist Church, our mission is to "make disciples" (Matt. 28:19-20). To that end, we offer the following exciting opportunities that we pray God would use to see friends we know and love become growing members in the family of God (Col. 1:27-28).

One of the most vital and vibrant ministries at Salem is our children’s ministry. We are committed to partnering with parents in seeing their children receive a great spiritual foundation for their lives.  Our goal is to love youth as God commands, disciple them, and challenge them to commit their lives to a daily walk with Jesus.

Each Sunday morning we provide Sunday School for children of all ages beginning with age 3. Through these opportunities we seek to strengthen the children’s love for Jesus and God’s Word through prayer, a Bible based message, and activities. Nursery is also provided during Sunday School (9am) and Worship (10:30am) on Sundays.

Student Ministry

Through Salem's Student Ministry’s intentional approach to glorify God in all aspects of our programing, we prepare our youth to live bold, meaningful lives while navigating through daily struggles with a firm foundation in God’s unchanging Word!

Salem's Student Ministry (S.W.A.G.) has many exciting opportunities to get plugged into for all youth, 6th-12th grade. During the school year, the high schoolers meet on Sundays from 5-7pm and our middle schoolers meet Wednesdays at 6:30pm on our church's campus. Our students also attend regular youth retreats, energizing conferences, and attend other events.   S.W.A.G. exists to equip teenagers to live out a Jesus centered life, fueled by the Great Commandment to accomplish the Great Commission!

Salem offers a wealth of discipleship opportunities for adults both through Sunday school classes that meet at 9am on Sunday mornings and small groups throughout the week. Click HERE for a current survey of these groups/classes. These groups, as well as our men's ministry and women's ministry, provide opportunities for friends to grow as brothers and sisters in Christ through the kind of biblically-rooted teaching and encouragement needed to develop in Christ-likeness.
